BS back on duty
BS really on form today.
(Proper one on duty)

Splat! The Summers nonsense was like a bug hitting the windscreen. One press on the washers and it’s gone.
Perhaps the greatest embarrassment of a thoroughly miserable episode for Summers must have been reading the contributions of full-time McCann supporter Pamela Gurning on his behalf.
SNIP
What he couldn’t possibly have envisaged, and what must have been toe-twitchingly horrible for a man of his age and self-regard, was finding his work being defended all over the internet with blithe Carry On enthusiasm by a half-illiterate internet freak called Pamela Gurning: it must have been like writing War and Peace and finding the only review in Traffic Warden’s Monthly. By his mum.

What a damning indictment of that woman and quite rightly so. As an aside from my usual daily diet of rogatory statements and PJ files I thought it would be a distraction to check out a few of the pro FB pages to see what passes for debate in their camp. What an eye-opener that was. There is no room for discussion. Anyone who dares ask a sensible question is berated and insulted. PG is particularly prevalent in a few and there is another vehement and very angry woman SM who uses vile language whenever her view is challenged.PeterMac wrote:BS really on form today.

It is very clear several of them check this forum out as they are forever quoting various posters and have their own very childish nicknames for some of you. No doubt I will get one now.
So I say to any "pros", "If you are watching me be very clear that I am prepared to take any of you on in a robust debate but only if you are willing to answer any questions without resort to insults. Let`s take each point in turn and debate the issues in a logical and adult-like manner. Then, and only then will there be a coming together of minds to understand what really happened in 2007. I say this not as a McCann hater, as you would call, me but as a concerned member of the public. I am not even going to damn K and G for their ill-advised take on parentcraft as that does not move the debate forward.
Anyone prepared to discuss?

Gurning's main argument seems to be 'it is coz I sez it is', much the same strategy that Gerry uses. That and his fixation with the word 'evidence'. In my opinion.

Re: BS back on duty
Just read some of the Amazon reviews. Hilarious! If the book was a hotel on trip-advisor it would be boarding up its doors in the very near future. I wonder who wrote the 28 five star reviews and the 5 four star reviews?
(How many friends and (believing) relatives do the McCanns have? Not many judging by this.)
Actually, this reminds me of a time when I booked a hotel on the basis of reviews on tripadvisor. I think someone had described it as 'the best small hotel in the world' or something similar and they had used this as PR.
There were pages and pages of five star reviews. No negative reviews at all. But one or two that were a little bemused as to the accolades.
Anyway, two nights in this decidedly average, decidedly small and decidedly over-priced hotel (more of a guest-house really) and it transpires that one of the owners works in IT and is a bit of a whizz on the computer. So I suspect that he, or some minions, managed to flood trip-advisor with glowing accolades.
As the hotel wasn't actually awful - just decidedly under-whelming - I would imagine that a lot of people just didn't bother reviewing it. And I suspect they got very little, if any, repeat business as it was definitely over-priced for what it offered. So pretty much all their business would have been first-timers who were hoodwinked by the 5 star reviews.

Hasn't this pretty much characterized TM from the word go? For reasons that are still not clear, the Mcs were treated with kid gloves from the word go. Some of the press/media interviews are embarrassingly sycophantic. Just how much did dear little Rupert have to do with this, I wonder? Still, they have managed to shoot themselves in the feet now. What with the terrible books. And the richly revealing TV appearances in the early days. Plus the cringeworthy C4 TV 'Madeleine was Here' series. The Crimewatch 'reconstructions' were farcical, as well.
Just how much more cringe worthy and embarrassing can this whole scandal become? The Emperor has been naked for so long now.

Actually, where was he on that Sky interview? Swan was on all indignant in her irksome American drawl, but where was mister? Bit late to distance yourself from that pile of crap you wrote now, me old China!
In my opinion.
