"I'm no handwriting expert" - Ambersuz Empty "I'm no handwriting expert" - Ambersuz

Post by Tony Bennett on 04.12.09 16:51

"I'm no handwriting expert" from Ambersuz on her forum was surely the quote of the week.

But despite 99% of people pointing out numerous obvious differences between the 'Klagenfurt postcard' and the 'Lubbock anonymous letter', two days later she and Eleanor are still at it. Ah, what it is to be fully focussed!

The key thing to look out for, points out 'I'm-no-hadwriting-expert-Ambersuz', is that the word 'the' looks the same when written by both hands:

http://missingmadeleine.forumotion.net/tony-bennett-f84/the-tony-bennett-activities-discussion-t6297-600.htm

Don't stop now, Ambersuz. There are billions of people in the world, and occasionally a couple of them might write 'the' in a broadly similar way.

Yes, honestly!

"I'm no handwriting expert" - Ambersuz Empty I still don't see what the fuss is about the anonymous letter sent to Lubbock

Post by Jolie on 04.12.09 17:35

What is so horrible about the anonymous letter to Mr. Lubbock that it would be terrible if Tony Bennett were identified as having been its author? I really don't understand why this deserves the attention it is getting, and am even more mystified that anyone thinks it was worthy of reporting to the police.

Can someone please explain it?

Yes,

Debbie Butler.

Ambersuz.

Harry Cichy.

Terry Lubbock.

They currently share a common interest.

And have been talking to each other a lot.

And been busy scanning postcards and anonymous letters.

And been busy making sure Essex Police and Rupert Murdoch's 'The Sun' know about it.

Quite a lot of all-round effort...which seems to have moved them all backwards rather than forwards.

i think, when a handwriting expert looks at the documents, you will face the consequences of writing in, tony.

your handwriting is very characteristic, profiled.

the anonymous letter does have all the hallmarks of your writing.
in its flow, the whole picture it shows, and the characteristics.

as you say, you havent written this letter, how do you think the handwriting looks compared to "your own", tony. your opinion on the (non?)-existing similarities pls : )

"I'm no handwriting expert" - Ambersuz Empty What consequences would those be?

Post by Jolie on 05.12.09 19:04

Have you read the actual text of the anonymous letter? It's a letter offering condolences and a tip related to Lubbock's son's death. Explain how there would be any consequences to the anonymous letter writer once identified. There was no crime committed by writing or sending that letter.

Very true, no crime at all, so why hide the identity of the sender?

I mean, they all know bentit is on the case, why would the letter writer feel stirring it up and making the involvement of bentit more relevant a reason to be all anon?????????????/

Having had a look at the writing imo the 'o' and the 'r' are totally different so I would say the same person has not written both.

it wasnt anything criminal, and maybe it didnt harm anyone, but neither its any common thing to do - or do you occassionally send anonymous letters by mail ?

whoever wrote it took some (not too much, i agree) effort to alter their handwriting, put a stamp on, etc..
maybe the sender was of good intention, but the matter of sending anonymous letters could also show potential criminal intention of the writer.

how would you (all) feel, if you knew the writer of this anonymous letter ?

would you rather think "ohh..come on., whats the deal with anonymous letters", or would you take it more serious, and be a bit worried about him/her ?

This is the crux of the matter. Anonymous letters are sneaky.

Good morning to each and all,

As far as I can see there are no laws applicable enforcing an individual to sign a letter, it is personal choice whether you do or do not, in addition I can not see anything criminal in words or intent contained in the letter sent to Terry Lubbock.

May I make an observation at this point, Scrafen, Sabot, Littlepixie and the rest of the posters on this site, myself included, are all as guilty as the person who sent that letter as we all post these messages anonymously. None of us, bar Tony Bennett & Jill Havern, has revealed our identity, therefore we are also posting anonymously.

People in greenhouses and all that.

Peace Love Out.

As far as I know it is illegal to post anonymous letters through The Royal Mail. It is not illegal to post anonymously on a Forum. And of course, our usernames can always be traced back to the person.

I'm far more interested in what it would tell us about Mr Bennett (or whoever it was who sent it) and his mental state, it may or may not be illegal, I'd suggest not illegal but it would have very much affected the person who received it, who lets's not forget is a bereaved father struggling to understand how his son came to be dead.

Hi Sabot,

As far as I have been able to read up on the subject there are no laws governing the signing of a letter.
Having said that if you were to send an unsigned letter of threat or slander etc. then I would imagine it would be these comments which would be deemed illegal.
I may be wrong, if so I graciously apologise.

By the way from what I have read here from you I think you would be a great loss to Tonys secret section as you are level headed, reasoned and calm in your responses.

ETA - Sabot surely it is illegal to post threats slander etc. anonymously on a forum ?

You could be right about the illegality, but the letter did suggest libel against the police and was sent to cause trouble which is perhaps why it wasn't signed.

Thank you for the compliment, I don't get many of those. Sadly, Mr. Bennett doesn't want reasoned responses.

Fencer. Yes is is illegal to post threat, libel etc. anonymously on a forum. But at least such people can be traced without too much difficulty.

It is also illegal to repeat Libel posted by someone else.
