"It is in the interests of justice for both sides that serious and complex cases of this sort should be properly prosecuted and properly tried," said solicitor Philip Smith.
"That means with equality of arms whereby you have the best barristers on both sides."

Shame Tugendhat didn`t `stay` your trial Tony when it was so unequal

Yes, I got a call from a friend today who drew just this comparison when he heard the news.

Equality of arms is a very important principle, especially when your liberty is at serious risk.

It's clear to me that the McCanns had UNLIMITED funds available to them.

I could not compete on anything like fair terms
