Clarrie's 'campaign'

I'll post the 'posts' in a bit.

Too many people 'asking' awkward questions?

Probably be 'whooshed' PDQ so take a look while you can, imo.

Let's be honest Mr Mitchell, this whole Brighton Pavillion thing isn't going to work is it? It's going to be impossible for you to extricate yourself from the role you have played in defence of the indefensible. I compel your potential constituents to look you up on youtube, and look up the McCanns while they are about it... but also, I warn them, it's not comfortable viewing.

Mr Mitchell, now I would first likely to say how absolutely disgusted I and thousands are of your total lack of decency. You should be ashamed of yourself, we know you know what happened to little Madeleine McCann, I mean you wouldn't say 'I strongly believe Kate and Gerry are not involved in Madeleine's DEATH' if you didn't know she had died. When Kate and Gerry McCann go down for what they did to their innocent little girl, I hope you know that you WILL go down with them. What they did was absolutely awful and you knowing this awful truth, have continued feeding the press lies, putting grieving wives through hell in order to defend such nefarious people. You are an absolute disgrace, one of the most immoral men I have ever came across.

Dear Mr. Mitchell. Do you not think that the positition you held as head of Media Monitoring, (Department of Obfuscation, Propaganda, Smoke and Mirrors) during Tony Blair's New Labour administration and the ludicrous, disingenuous statements you personally made regarding the parenting skills of hard working British mothers and fathers as a part of your campaign to protect the parents of Madeleine McCann will endear you to the Conservative electorate of Brighton?

I would like to make it clear that the only reason I have "liked" this page is so I can follow it. I know it is a very slim chance, but I would really like to see Clarence Mitchell actually answer some of the very reasonable questions that people have posted here.

How much are you being paid to be a lying prick and sway publics opinions with your nonsensical stories of crap regarding the mccanns? Why back a pair of liars, unless you are one yourself? The evidence is available for public to read so do you not feel what you are publishing people will just use as shit roll, coz that's all it's good for. Or is the real reason your publishing garbage because goncalo amaral's hearing will reconvene soon and it's about to open a shitstorm for the mccanns?

I emailed you to ask whether you were STILL being paid by the McCanns, you have declined to answer WHY? should our representatives not be open and clear ?

Clarence Mitchell: You RETWEETED my questions to you. Now, how about being less arrogant and actually ANSWERING them. Or have you taken a leaf out of Kate McCann's book when she refused to answer 48 police questions? You know that refusing to answer questions implies guilt, don't you?
Here they are again.
1. Would you please explain why you are hiding your McCann connection from the potential voters of Brighton?
2. What did you mean when you said that you believed the McCanns were "not responsible for Madeleine's DEATH"? Yes, you DID say "death" - the recording of the interview is on YouTube. Do you know something that the family are not admitting publicly?
3. Why have you helped the McCanns promote their clearly fraudulent "Find Madeleine Fund" when it is NOT a charity but a private limited company that does NOT search for Madeleine, but supports the McCann family financially (it says so in the Objectives) and has been used to pay their mortgage?
4. Why have you consistently promoted obviously false leads to Madeleine?
5. Why, in other interviews, have you claimed that Madeleine McCann is still alive when specially trained cadaver detection dogs with 100% success record detected cadaver scent in ELEVEN places and clothing connected to the McCanns and NONE in other places of their doctor friends?
6. Why did you leave a respected, well paid government job with excellent prospects to work full-time defending the McCanns (whch, it appears you are now denying by omitting it from your CV)? In short, was there about to be a revelation which you wanted to hide?
Were you PUSHED?

The McCann Scandal
**OPEN LETTER TO KATE AND GERRY McCANN** Kate and Gerry, On 23rd November 2011 you appeared together at the Leveson Inquiry to give evidence regarding your treatment at the hands of the press, according to you, for "one simple reason" - that a system should be put in place to protect ordinary people from the damage that the media can cause. The nation was aghast as you recounted how "distraught" you were by suggestions in the newspapers that you were responsible for your daughter's death. Gerry, you told the inquiry that many of these stories were "offensive and objectionable, untruthful, sinister or made up", fuelled by, you suggested, a "tremendous amount of speculation". You said that you felt that you and Kate were being tried by the media and were unable to defend yourselves. Kate, you told the inquiry that you felt "totally violated" after News Of The World printed extracts from your diary and that you felt there was absolutely no respect shown to you as a grieving mother. (You neglected to mention at the time that you were compensated to the tune of £125,000 for this 'violation' on top of the £550,00 you received along with front page apologies from Express Newspapers alone in 2008) After Leveson made his recommendations in early 2013 you made various appearances, both separately and together, on BBC News, Sky News, the Andrew Marr Show, representing Hacked Off in order to lobby the government to implement Leveson's recommendations. Gerry, you made a keynote speech at the Hacked Off conference in February 2013, where you said: "I don’t often find myself making speeches at events like this. But I’m happy to do so for Hacked Off, because I passionately believe in the cause. Kate and I had the misfortune to suffer the worst that the press could throw at us.• We were labelled as murderers without a shred of evidence.• Rumours were dressed up as the truth• and downright lies became front-page news. An insatiable hunt for headlines combined with a total lack of respect for other people. The mentality that can turn a family’s distress into cold, hard cash. Profit from misery." So...with all of the above in mind: When are you going to condemn the Daily Mirror for labelling Euclides Monteiro as the "No 1 SUSPECT" in Madeleine's disappearance on their front page?? Have you considered that this man's wife and family may feel "totally violated" by this speculation? Do you think there has been any respect shown to his grieving widow, his parents, siblings and other family? He has been labelled a junkie and a jailbird in the Daily Mirror and other newspapers. Does that have anything to do with your daughter's disappearance? Do you feel that this man is being "being tried by the media" and is unable to defend himself? Or that his family may find the headlines "offensive and objectionable"? Is it possible that rumour is being dressed up as truth or that downright lies are becoming front page news? Is it right that his widow feels she has to talk to the newspapers in order to defend a man who is no longer around to defend himself? You once bemoaned Colin Myler, former editor of News Of The World for, you claimed, beating you into submission verbally until you agreed to give him an interview - are you satisfied that Monteiro's widow hasn't been "beaten into submission"? Having had the misfortune to suffer the worst that the press could throw at you, do either of you have any sympathy for this man's widow? Gerry, you complained that Leveson's recommendations didn't go far enough. Therefore do you agree that this would be the ideal opportunity for you to illustrate that very point? Or were your Leveson and Hacked Off sorties merely attempts to serve your own agenda? Until you publicly condemn the irresponsible behaviour of the media with regards to this man and the many others who have been linked to Madeleine's disappearance with little or no evidence whatsoever, you appear hypocritical, self-serving and in possession of the most appalling double standards. Yours sincerely hoping that you will receive all that you deserve in the near future, Zora McCartney The Madeleine McCann Controversy Group Facebook

Clarence Mitchell, your nose will grow! This man was appointed as the McCann’s spokesman, and given the task of liaising with the media. There are different descriptions of what he does, but you can make your own mind up about what description he deserves. Let’s look at some quotes from this professional spokesman.“There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever, nothing, to suggest Madeleine has been harmed, let alone killed” LIE, and an odd statement to make given that in 2008 he also said:“Madeleine is probably dead” “I can categorically state that Gerry did not have a blue tennis bag” LIE When talking about the Helping to find Madeleine fund Mitchell described it as:“Independently controlled” LIE“Kate and Gerry would have no issue with taking a lie detector test” LIE“There are wholly innocent explanations for any material the police may or may not have found”When talking about the “tapas 7” and the McCann’s he stated:“None of them were wearing watches or had mobile phones on them that evening” LIE“Kate and Gerry have been utterly honest, and utterly open with the police and all of their statements since the moment Madeleine was taken” LIE“We have nothing to hide” LIE“We are always willing to cooperate with the Portuguese police” LIE The head of the Portuguese police department Carlos Anjos described Clarence Mitchell as “a manipulative liar” TRUE He also said that “He lies with as many teeth as he has in his mouth”On to Clarence Mitchells final quote, this one’s a classic “I am a decent human being” LIE Clarence Mitchell is due to stand for the Conservatives as a parliamentary candidate, I can think of no better person to do this, and would urge anyone who can to vote for him……LIE!!!!

It's heartwarming to see his complete lack of control over the groundswell of disgust he's created by his involvement with the McCanns. Of course those comments will be removed but they must keep reappearing! On a different (but probably related) tack I'm currently read Andrew Feinstein's 'The Shadow World: Inside the global arms trade'. Every page brings new horror as the corruption and lies of the UK arms industry, it's government and its many fixers and dealers is exposed. I'm 1/5th if the way through it but I will not be surprised to see Mr. Mitchell's name somewhere before I reach the end.

With such a high-profile individual, as Clarence Mitchell is, there is very little information on him. Despite him standing as a Conservative candidate in Brighton, Wiki information on him doesn't mention it, and what Wiki does mention is surprisingly spar for a man in CM's position.

This is all that is said about him:

Clarence Mitchell is a former BBC news reporter, and now official spokesman for the family of Madeleine McCann.
Mitchell began his career as a journalist as a local reporter for the Barnet & Potters Bar Times in South Hertfordshire before leaving to join a BBC training scheme.[citation needed] He later joined the BBC as a regional reporter in Leeds. In the early 1990s he moved to BBC Breakfast News and then as a reporter on the main national BBC TV and radio bulletins. [1], reporting on the death of Michael Hutchence in 1997 and as royal correspondent in 1999 on the death of Dodi Fayed and Princess Diana.[2] Between 2003 and 2005 he covered stories in the Middle East including the Iraq conflict.[3]
After 20 years as a journalist[4], in April 2006 he joined the government's Central Office of Information as director of the Media Monitoring Unit and in May 2007 was sent to Portugal on behalf of the UK Foreign Office to provide temporary consular assistance to the McCanns with handling the media following the disappearance of their daughter Madeleine McCann who disappeared on 3 May 2007 while on holiday with her family in the resort of Praia da Luz in the Algarve, Portugal. On 17 September, he resigned as director of the Central Office of Information's media monitoring unit to become the McCanns' media spokesman.[5][6]

And Wiki 'forgets' to mention that Clarence Mitchell volunteered as spokesman for, now convicted, benefits fraudster Fiona MacKeown who defrauded benefits of £51,401.49.

Who, coincidentally, also left her child, 15 years old, Scarlett ALONE with a stranger, whilst she went 'travelling' The mother-of-nine, who was 100 miles away when Scarlett died, faced allegations of neglect in Goa

One web correspondent asked: “When will parents stop blaming other people for what happens to their children when it is their own negligence in the first place that puts them at risk?”

Judy Finnegan wrote: “She left her vulnerable daughter in an alien culture while she enjoyed the rest of her holiday. The astonishing thing is that Fiona says she does not blame herself. She should.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“When will parents stop blaming other people for what happens to their children when it is their own negligence in the first place that puts them at risk?”

Pity 'our' Judy Finnegan has never said, in the last 7 years, that about 'our' Kate McCann, isn't it?

Instead, her and her husband Madeley are some of the McCanns most 'vocal and ardent' SUPPORTERS!

I'm sure that some of Clarrie's 'hoped for' constituents and voters 'donated' to Madeleine's 'Fund' and will, quite rightly, want to know EXACTLY where their 'donations' ended up.

And will ask him that at the 'hustings'

"Well, i'm personally paid a retainer of £28,000 a year from the 'fund'" is probably not going to be an answer that will go down to well, i suggest.

HAS CLARENCE MITCHELL ALWAYS KNOWN ABOUT E-FIT SUPPRESSION?

Post by Greycatofoxford on 01.03.14 16:25

I can only imagine that CM MUST have been aware of the E-fit that the McCanns decided to keep to themselves and also the report that was " hyper-critical " of them. I feel it would be almost impossible that he was not.
I wonder if this thought has given him any moments of panic at the thought that he could be implicated in a collusion...hope so !
I have e-mailed him  to ask for clarification, no response ! his FB page, although perhaps " whooshed by now" is filling up with many difficult questions that may bring a flush to his already pink cheeks.

They obviously are, Portia, because he was selected as a Conservative candidate long after his original involvement with the McCanns. I don't normally have any time whatsoever for politicos, but that currently incumbent Green Party woman for Brighton Pavilion doesn't appear overly nauseating and hopefully won't incur too many problems with retaining her seat.

Actually, Mitchell would be every cartoon caricature artist's dream politician. I bet there isn't one of them who aren't sharpening their crayons in the forlorn hope of him succeeding in his quest to become the right hon. Clarence Mitchell MP. pray

Delayed gratification Clay  pray2  Mind you, 20 minutes after I wrote that, I came across a reference to Tim Bell, who we know as the founder of Bell Pottinger the PR / reputation company that sent Alex Woolfall out to Luz to help Mark Warner and the McCanns in the early days after Madeleine's disappearance. In my book, he's the man who successfully derailed the Serious Fraud Office's 2006 investigation into the bribes paid by BAE to the Saudi prince Bandar (and others) to grease the Al Yamamah arms deal. His work ensured the deal went ahead and that BAE and the UK Govt got away without having to name their agents and arms dealers.

Wikipedia reminds us that Bell "has also performed public relations work for the authoritarian government of Belarus,[8] and for the Pinochet Foundation (Fundación Pinochet).".

Nice.
