Could it be because they're figments of a desperate fervent imagination, plebgate?

The McCanns have form for biting hands that fed them.

I wonder what MW makes of this story which has emerged at the peak time for bookings for the summer season?

Good point about the bookings UT.

As for figments of a fervent imagination, could be, but imo it sounds like the old sauce bottle has been out again.  eyebrows

Interesting point.
TM / Mitchell are now saying they routinely employed people / cleaners etc who looted rooms of valuables, phones and so on.

Police hunting for missing Madeleine McCann want to raid the homes of three prime suspects and examine their bank accounts in the hunt for clues into her disappearance.
British officers plan to quiz the trio , who were working at the holiday complex in Portugal where the three-year-old was snatched from her bed.
They hope to look at their bank records to see if any large sums of money were placed in their accounts – which could indicate payment for a crime.
The three men would have known the layout of the Ocean Club complex at Praia da Luz and been aware of the best escape routes for anyone taking a child.
It would also have been possible for them to watch the movements of Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry’s on the night their daughter went missing in May 2007 as they ate tapas with friends near their apartment.
Detectives believe the suspects were behind a string of burglaries in the area in the weeks before the youngster vanished.
One of the flats burgled at the Ocean Club is owned by a former British expat. It is in the same block as the one the McCanns rented.
The man, who is in his 50s and wishes to remain anonymous, said yesterday: “They’d taken two mobile phones, a camera and some cash. There was no sign of forced entry.
"I was convinced they had a key to get inside. I spoke to my neighbours, many of them expats, and I’d say around 90% of them had experienced the same thing… valuable items going missing out of their apartments.
“I brought these complaints to the attention of the Ocean Club but they were pretty much ignored. Nothing was done.
“This was about four weeks before Maddie went missing.”

This surely MUST be defamatory of Mark Warner as a product, and will seriously interfere with their business activities everywhere.
I wonder if they have noticed.
Interesting if it all got traced back to Mitchell !

And there, my friends, might be the most interesting comment of all.

I wonder if the swag bags the burglars brought were big enough to put a 4 year old in or did they just borrow the blue tennis bag from Kate and Gerry's room?

What?  they would know the best escape routes? - instead they walked round carrying a child right in front of a family of witnesses, presumably they did not get paid enough to hire a car?  One would think their "boss" would have thrown in twenty euro or so to make sure they could ensure a quick get away?  big grin
I believe whoever paid these three should sue the "kidnappers" and ask for their money back.     big grin

Which escape route would have allowed them to sneak past Gerry, Jez wilkins, Jane Tanner and everyone else in the vicinity in the timeframe given to us by the McCanns and friends?

Indeed, so what are the chances of one of them wandering around PDL with a stolen child in their arms?

This is absolute nonsense. Whoever is releasing these stories is smearing the staff of Warners resort and placing them all under suspicion. Would SY really highlight the staff of a holiday resort as potential abductors/murderers/paedophiles? Would they really announce forthcoming searches, giving plenty of time to springclean homes and financial records?

Scotland Yard are not saying anything, we are simply seeing a repeat of Team McCann media saturation to bury the truth and protect the Fund.

Three very cunning operators, managing to make sure that specialist cadaver odour and blood dogs would later throw investigators off the scent (sorry about the pun!)

It might NOT protect the Fund, if Mark Warner sue for defamation and interference in business by false statements.
I wonder how much loose change Mitchell is carrying around.

Why weren't the Paynes burgled and their child taken? The burglars/employees would of known that the Paynes weren't checking their children if they were watching the McCanns.

My optimism is returning when I read this rubbish. CM is a despicable person if he is the one behind this 'information'.
They must be absolutely shi*ting themselves.

Certainly, i reckon none of today's Express info has come from SY or Redwood. It's McSpin. Probably the only true bit is that the Macs are on tenterhooks.

Warners spend a huge amount on advertising their product, and they spent a huge amount on supporting the McCanns and their extended family (holiday). These scurrilous stories will undoubtedly damage the reputation of Warners, I hope they have their lawyers watching.

Another turn on the roller-coaster of this story! My tuppenceworth would be:

1. Are the McCanns marvelling at the simplicity of the 'story'? A small group of employees with a key. A lot less complex than the old jemmied shutters / doors ajar and moving / burglars in the room / doors left unlocked / tannerman / murat fit-up etc contained in Kate's book.

2. Has anyone worked out the motivation for apparently successful part-time burglars to suddenly decide to steal a child - an act of insanity that would also bring the shutters down (sorry) on their lucrative burgling sideline.

The abductors/burglars/MW employees were also clued up on sedating children, even managing to sedate Madeleine earlier.
After entering the apartment they just had to sedate the twins...easy.

I think they're all going down the plughole anyway. Do people really buy newspapers speculatively because of a lurid headline? I was having this debate with my father yesterday, we were talking about phone hacking. I doubted that one single person would have been sufficiently interested inn the private lives of Jude Law (who?) and Sienna Miller (who? only more so...) to go out of their way to buy the NOTW where they otherwise wouldn't have done. He said he thought they would, but admitted that he personally wouldn't. So do the great unwashed really do this? Will the Express headline really generate extra sales? If not, why do they keep doing it?

What else are they going to put in their rags ?
There are only so many Jude Millers and Sienna Laws, (who ?) not enough to fill the number of pages that I need each morning, to start my fire.  big grin

Cant wait for the first person to be arrested and statement made:

"Well, it was like this. Miguel, Gunther and I were casing the block. We knew that the bloody irresponsible parents had buggered off and were tanking it in the local bar and Miguel decided to go in using the master key that he had from when he was a mosquito irradication specialist working for Mark Warner. Anyway, the locks had been changed so he went in through the patio door but before he could see anything in the apartment he tripped over a young girl. She wasn't moving. Anyway, he panicked, fled and rang me and Gunther. He was hiding just outside the apartment when he saw a bloke enter. To his complete surprise the guy then reappeared from the patio door and dropped the young girl into the bushes. Miguel was shocked and asked what we should do..... we said scarper pronto. As he was trying to get out of the area he spotted the bloke talking to another guy in the street, he was sat in the shadows trying to figure pout what to do. At that point the bloke walked around and picked up the young girl and walked off. Damn strange if you ask me.... anyway, after this he was in a massive panic and we had to figure out what we should do.... I mean if we go to the police then we get fingered for robbing the place, never mind about the girl. We just figured that we'd call it a day and live off the proceeds of selling our hooky cameras that we'd nicked previously. Ok - it wasn't £2.6 million quid but hey ho! Its a living"

Thanks to the apparent publication of all the details about what the police are apparently looking for, the massive number of sites that question the whole scenario and the validity of the parents/friends etc then any potential suspects have loads of info to get themselves out of it and point the finger back. Its a circus (or should that be a Murder Mystery Night), we're the audience and I think we're being played as much by SY as we are by TM.

Excellent post BB, and to top it off, these burglars are so determined to
steal a child,(one of three) that they ignore many of the valuables there!

Many people, who don`t have access to the internet during the day, buy The Sun - they know very well its a gutter rag but buy it specifically for the Football and Horse Racing.
