Wow. Grandmother first spoke telling stories about boy (quite a funny one), then only showed emotion when asked are the parents unemployed? Yes she says sadly. Grandfather says someone must have taken him he couldn't walk very far!

The parents do not show a lot of emotion mother mixing up her words. The father nodding his head when speaking.

Blonde and blue eyed 18 mth old boy.

Comments say they took 3 hours to call the police?
Were the dogs sniffer dogs?

Poor boy.

From yesterday's Madeira Island Direct Blog (Tuesday 21st January 2014)
"
The situation with the missing eighteen-month old child in Calheta (see previous story) seems about as clear as mud this morning. The Diario website still carries the story that the family of little Daniel, missing since Sunday afternoon, believe that the boy has been kidnapped.
Liliane Freitas, a cousin who was present at the time of disappearance, supports the theory of abduction based on the testimony of a neighbour who claims to have seen a car stop and then start the Lombo dos Reis, minutes before the disappearance of Daniel was noted. The same source commented that this location is popular with “foreigners and tourists” who hike along a passage behind the family house. Despite this it appears that the search, which included the GNR dog team, has been called off.
15.00 Tuesday: Various press agencies are now reporting that the family are the main suspects at the moment: as far as the PJ (Judicial Police) are concerned.

Thank you beijos., good news.  Here is google translate from above link.......

Found alive, this Wednesday, the Madeiran baby of 18 months which had been missing since Sunday. The child was found in a taken - a channel built to carry water - about two miles from home, an official of the water dam, around 8:30 am, and in no danger of life.

The CM will have found that Daniel asleep in the dam water, which remained over 48 hours alone and without food. Everything indicates that the baby will have moved out of the groomsmen, at around 13.00 on Sunday, where he met with the parents and other family members at a party, at their own pace. However, police have not ruled out the possibility of abduction, since the child is only 18 months and was learning to take their first steps

let us thank God.
It is a strange story, walking 2 kilometres an no deshydratation.
I think the McCanns will use this to say Maddie was abducted by somebody from Madeira.

Yes great news and thankfully the toddler sounds better than one would expect after his ordeal.

wow, brilliant outcome for this little boy.

PJ are going to come in for criticism over this I expect. It is very strange though,I find it very odd a child of that age walking that far without being spotted and also sleeping.

Anyway I am delighted with the outcome whatever the scenario.

Good news!

Disappears for 3 days in a small place and nobody sees or hears him, meanwhile mother gets to explain her situation on TV, needing benefits, no help, no job.
Both parents are unemployed. Plenty of critisicing.

Now they are noticed, could get some help. Hopefully.

still no word from the ambassador for missing people. I expected Kate to use the issue to reinforce their abduction theory or a least to say that there is always a good chance that the abducted is still alive.

Google translate: The Judicial Police believe the assumption that Daniel, 18 months, was abducted for the sale. Parents are off the list of suspects and the child should receive by tomorrow. The research team hopes to make the case arrests in the coming days.

The CMTV has been following the case of Baby Madeira that was found on Wednesday, after being reported missing on Sunday.
