@Harriet94 wrote:Hi all, just been reading the forum and catching up and saw the posts about the bible passages and the Rev Hubbard. I remembered reading a statement in the case files from someone who said they had given Kate their bible to read that had marked passages in it. I thought it was a OC guest, but have just checked the files and it was  a Peter Neal Patterson, a solicitor. His Rog interview states he is a member of the Corporation for Excercise and Salvation ( I think this may be the Salvation Army from a google search). He states he gave his wifes' bible to Kate to offer comfort and the marked passages were for his wife. They sadly had fertility problems. His wife Bridget is a GP and became close friends with Kate in Mid 2002, it appears as a result of their commmon problem in conceiving a child. The Pattersons gave birth to a son about 4 months after Madeleine was born. Neal Patterson recommended that Kate read Psalms X and XX. Mr Patterson states in his Rog that initially he tried to protect his son from hearing about Madeleine. He and his wife decided to fly to Portugal on 8th May to offer help and support. Sorry if this has already been posted, but I don't remember reading about this recently.
See, I cautioned about getting carried away on another thread already today. But when I read things like this.... was there some kind of pre-programming at work? Were these people somehow "triggered" by the media coverage? Or maybe the McCanns are incredibly charismatic in person (not that you'd ever guess from their public face as portrayed by the media)?

It seems the world and his wife, and his lawyers, counsellors, diplomats, Leicestershire police officers, damage limitation and reputation enhancing experts, not to mention a flurry - or should that more properly be 'slurry'? - of clan McCann/Healy members and assorted chums flocked to Luz in the days immediately following Madeleine's disappearance, and I suspect the wee one wishes he'd had the foresight to appropriate their air miles by way of donation to the 'fighting fund'.

Or maybe, just maybe, 'Paddy Patterson' was more closely connected to Gerry than he let on. In his statement he claims he hardly knew GM and that the friendship was between KM & his wife Bridget. In that case why didn't she give the statement I wonder?

Yet another one that originates from Northern Ireland. Donegal by any chance?

Donegal is in the Republic of Ireland - though admittedly close to the border with Northern Ireland.

Agreed NFWTD, Donegal is part of the Border Region, it couldn't be much closer.

Engloba imagens inéditas feitas no interior do apartamento do Ocean Club.

I noted they stated TWIN BROTHERS, is this a translation mistake?

I watched it got the gist of it. I not they used David Paynes visit which wasnt used before was it, and how did Jane Tanner see anyone it was quite dark wasnt it really.

I also noticed they started with full bottles of wine and by 10pm they were nearly all empty and there were cocktail glasses there too.

The way the group got up and down i am surprised they ate or drank anything.

Yes columbostogeys google translation often gets the gender wrong during translation  "he slept with two twin brothers" . would read more along the lines of " she slept with two twin siblings".
