Very simply because as long as they get paid, they don't care about what they write, sadly.

Very simply because as long as they get paid, they don't care about what they write, sadly.
Even more simply, many of them spend their life regurgitating press releases, which is why this case - with its numerous PRs ready and waiting to spoon feed them quotes and press releases - must have been like manna from heaven.
