Expect to see crecheman live in the studio explaining why he was walking backwards to Christmas while holding a child in an uncomfortable position and looking for a lost blanket. On the table: a pair of child's pyjamas which Kirsty Young will hold up for the nation to see.

Old Andy will be hunkered down at HQ and Kirsty will be shooting the crap via video link about how there's always "hoop". She will then blather on about Gerry telling her off-camera that statistics show the younger the child when taken, the more chance of it turning up one day.

Meanwhile, behind old Andy's head, the inky backdrop begins to ribbon and form an image of hell freezing over.

Funny how this is all cranked up a gear since Goncalo's interview.

What I really want to know is: why the close up of the duck on the swimming pool in the CW recon? I want Andy to reveal why, in the German version, the camera lingered a bit longer than the UK version and the duck was lying dead on its side.

I want answers.

Scotland Yard have had three years to appeal for info on previous abduction attempts. Why are they suddenly shoving this on tonight's Crimewatch at the last minute? Amaral or the libel trial? It has to be one or the other.

Well Mr Redwood could direct himself to back issues of The Sun and other similar publications. All of the creepy men stories have been well documented over the years.

Alternatively he could give Kate a call. Didn't she tell us she had letters from sympathetic almost victims of the burglar/abductor/creepy man and she had come across relevant information during the course of her translation work / investigation ?

I do hope he is not too shocked when he learns the statistics for child abduction in that area are probably shockingly close to zero. That should sink in circa Christmas 2024, in time for a new message from Kate.
