Private investigators deleted records on police database

Rogue investigators were able to delete information from police databases, according to the uncensored version of a report into the illegal trade in personal information.
The Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca) report, which had been published officially with key passages blacked out, also reveals that detective agencies could illicitly obtain personal information from British Gas, British Telecom and HM Revenue & Customs.
