Should parents drug babies on long flights?

Parents taking infants on long flights are turning to medication to help their children sleep. But is the practice safe - or a dangerous abuse of parental power?

No, of course they shouldn't. Not if it's only for the benefit of the carers. Medicines should only be given to a child when they are NEEDED for the well-being of the child.

And perhaps babies and todlers shouldn't be taken on long air travels ... ? If avoidable, of course.

Definitely not. No drugs or nips of gin in a bottle of milk. Absolutely outrageous.

It seems increasingly that parents want children but not the responsibility that goes with that parenthood .
