Seems there is more than meets the eye....

The links between Owen Oyston, William Roache and Stuart Hall

"Millionaire rapist invited to a gala dinner by Labour
by JANE MERRICK

A convicted rapist attended a fundraising dinner for the Labour Party this week, alongside Gordon Brown, Tony Blair and a string of celebrities.

Owen Oyston, who served three-and-a-half years in jail for attacking a 16-year-old girl, was invited by party chiefs to the £1,000-ahead event at Wembley Stadium.

The disgraced multi-millionaire businessman was filmed at the gala on Thursday which aimed to raise £500,000 to help plug the £20million hole in Labour's finances."

".....Might I suggest that another team be set up to look into the antics of famous Lancastrian Estate Agent and convicted rapist Owen Oyston; a former MP and fellow party-goer now a Peer – Tom Pendry; and their mutual friend Tony Blair? I’m just trying to be helpful here.

Oh, and I nearly forgot: they had another mutual friend. Stuart Hall."

Board meetings of Ridings Publishing Company Limited and its subsidiaries and Oystons Limited must have featured some interesting conversations as at them three well-known men were eligible to attend. Those three men, as of today, variously have served a jail sentence for rape, been convicted and await sentencing for 14 charges of indecent assault and await trial for two counts of raping a 15 year old............

Hooray that that stupid woman Pat Macmillan was told to go.  Good riddance I would say.
She's not fit for purpose, not fit to represent any children welfare organisations.  Whether she's a volunteer or a paid member is secondary.
The primary objective of such a representative is to protect children, to have their welfare as priority.
If she fails to grasp that sexual violation against children is wrong even if perpetrator is emperor of this country then she's the last person who should be on board a children welfare organisation.

It's people like her who shielded perverts & paedo***** that these serial offenders can continue to wield their power to terrorise/violate children riding on the back of supports from friends with clout thinking they are invincible and untouchable because no one will believe the victims.

Stuart Hall Faces Seventeen New Abuse Claims

Stuart Hall faces 17 new abuse claims after a fresh wave of alleged victims came forward to say they have been molested by the disgraced BBC presenter.
Solicitors are now investigating the allegations which could leave Hall, jailed for 15 months last week, facing a string of fresh charges to answer.
The incidents are alleged to have all taken place in the 1960s, 70s and 80s with the youngest 'victim' being aged 10 at the time.
Law firm Pannone said it was now representing many people who have come forward after being left outraged by the sentence handed down to Hall.
A spokesman for the Manchester-based team of solicitors said: “At this stage we are looking cases against Hall.
“Two of the victims have come forward within the past few days after learning of the sentence Hall received.
“The claims of the alleged new victims will be now be investigated to see whether further action is required.
Hall, 83, of Wilmslow, Cheshire, was jailed last week for 14 offences that took place between 1967 and 1985.
After he was sentenced the police immediately praised the bravery which victims had shown in coming forward.
Det Supt Neil Esseen, of Lancashire Police, said: “They have been tremendously brave in highlighting this horrendous abuse perpetrated by Mr Hall over a long period of time.”
Meanwhile Hall’s family have spoken out about Hall’s offences saying they are still in “shock”.
While Hall languishes in prison his wife Hazel has been forced to pick up the pieces at the Hall’s £1.2m family home in Prestbury, Manchester.
Yesterday Hall’s daughter-in-law Melanie, separated from the presenter’s son Daniel, said the whole family were struggling to believe the turn of events.
Speaking yesterday Melanie said: “It’s been a shock and it is Hazel I feel sorry for at the moment.
"At the end of the day he is still my children’s grandfather and he was always very good to them."
She said she had never seen Hall behave in an inappropriate way, saying “absolutely, not at all”.
“No-one can quite believe any of this,” she added. “We are all just try to get on with our lives as best as we can.”
Hall is expected to face a string of compensation claims from his victims in the weeks ahead.
He has been accused of signing his mansion away into his wife’s name to protect his fortune from any compensation claims.
His name was removed from the land registry in February this year, making Hazel, 75, the sole owner.

Well there you are, people absolutely fed up to the teeth with these bartstewards being treated so leniently  after commiting such terrible things against vulnerable young people.

That judge should have made sure he died in prison imo.

If he is charged, faces trial and found guilty then I hope he does get a sentence which means he will see out his life in prison.

He sounds a right horrible, horrible, cunning git, even down to trying to make sure his victims get nothing from his earnings.  Fooled his family and the world for a long time but NO MORE.

Perhaps this explains the lenient sentence.

Stuart Hall judge and the "gay brothel visit"
24 Jun 2013 00:00
The leading QC - who will also run Corrie star Bill Roache's trial - quit over trip to sauna ... but was later reinstated

Anthony Patrick Russell

When judge Andrew Russell was caught visiting a gay brothel, it looked like the end of a glittering career.
The part-time Recorder of Bolton and eminent QC quit after his trip to the sauna was exposed in a newspaper sting.
But he bounced back. Mr Russell was later reinstated and went on to become a senior judge.
And last week, the 62-year-old sparked controversy after sentencing former It’s a Knockout host Hall to just 15 months in prison for three decades of sex attacks on young girls.

Within days, Judge Russell admitted going into the brothel – today advertised as “the UK’s No1 gay sauna”. But he insisted the description of what went on inside was “factually inaccurate in some respects and exaggerated”.
Judge Russell, recently appointed to oversee Corrie star Bill Roache’s child sex trial, is alleged to have gone into a “dark room” inside the building with a leading doctor and a hospital porter. He was a part-time judge and a prominent Manchester barrister at the time he visited the Greenhouse club in the Walsall, West Mids.

Google

He resigned as a judge and from his post as the Inland Revenue’s top lawyer.
But in 2000, he applied to be reinstated and was welcomed back into the fold, rising to senior circuit judge within six years.
It is understood the allegations were known about and discussed by legal chiefs when that decision and subsequent promotions were made.

“He strongly disputed, and continues to dispute, the details of what is alleged to have happened inside the premises, although he admitted he did visit them. The then Lord Chancellor, Lord Mackay, accepted his resignation. In May 2001, Lord Irvine as Lord Chancellor, reinstated him as a Recorder on the Northern Circuit.
A spokeswoman for the judiciary said: “In April 1996 Judge Russell QC resigned his recordership following newspaper revelations regarding his private life.

Caters

“Judge Russell QC applied to become a Circuit Judge in 2004. Following an open competition, conducted by the Commission for Judicial Appointments, Judge Russell was appointed as a full-time circuit judge by Lord Falconer as Lord Chancellor.
“In 2005, again following another open competition conducted by the Commission for Judicial Appointments, Lord Falconer appointed Judge Russell to the post of senior circuit judge at Preston Combined Court.”
After Judge Russell jailed 83-year-old pervert Hall for his sex attacks on 13 girls, one as young as nine, between 1967 and 1987, senior figures lined up to criticise the lenient sentence. The broadcaster admitted the assaults.
As the BBC star was taken down to the cells, one of his victims tearfully called out: “It’s not enough.” With him likely to serve less than seven months before being freed on licence, another victim outside Preston crown court said: “That’s not justice. I would have said another four years.”

Hall’s prison term is now under investigation by the Attorney General. Shadow Attorney General Emily Thornberry said the sentence was “not just a lenient sentence, it is unduly lenient”.
Deputy Labour leader Harriet Harman tweeted: “18yrs offending & Stuart Hall gets less than 18 months. Unduly lenient sentence.”
Daily Mirror

The Attorney General now has 28 days from the day of sentence to decide if the sentence should be referred to the Court of Appeal for review.
Judge Russell will hear evidence against Corrie’s Roache, 81 – who plays Ken Barlow – when he goes on trial over claims he raped a 15-year-old girl in 1967 and indecently assaulted four girls aged between 11 and 16. He denies the charges.

On his CV, the judge – nephew of late former Lord Chief Justice Sir Thomas Patrick Russell – lists his hobbies as singing, listening to music, video photography, travel and the countryside. He began his career in 1975

I presume there is no suggestion that anyone at the sauna was underage or unwilling.

I do however wonder if there are other judges who are of a similar inclination to the child molesters who appear before them.

I wonder too NFWTD, or are they chosen specificly, one pervert judging another pervert? I've just been reading about Russell's past judgements, why isn't this put out in the public domain, imo he shouldn't be allowed to be the Judge when these perverts are brought to trial. who choses what Judge should sit at what trial?

When Judge Graham Cottle gave the elite protected paedophile artist Graham Ovenden a derisory 12 month suspended prison sentence for child abuse stretching as far back to at least 1970, I made mention that Cottle had been specifically selected to be the trial judge.
It would now seem that Judge Anthony Russell was specifically selected for Stuart Hall.
You see, as well as giving Hall a paltry 15 months, Russell was also responsible for the following sentences:
December 2009: A PAEDOPHILE who had sex with a 14-year-old girl has walked free from court. Dean Seedle, 33, had sex with the youngster on numerous occasions. Judge Anthony Russell QC gave Seedle a suspended sentence
March 2006: In 2006, Judge Russell gave 23 year old Aaron Porter a community order for child abduction involving a young girl in Accrington and having indecent images of a child. In 2008, Porter broke the terms of this order and went back in front of judge Russell. But instead of jailing Porter, judge Russell issued a fresh three year community order
July 2008: RADIO DJ David Blaxhall, 49 who secretly filmed a 14-year-old schoolgirl from under a desk was caught out after pupils turned their mobile phone cameras on him. Police officers found a tape on the front seat of Blaxhall’s car, containing 41 minutes of camcorder footage from which several stills had been taken. His personal computers were seized, and a number of indecent images of children. Sentencing the defendant, Judge Anthony Russell QC said he had wanted to impose a suspended jail term

Course, if that isn’t enough to convince you that Judge Russell is a paedophile protecting fat **** – read this:

A 45-YEAR-OLD man was jailed for two years for contempt yesterday after calling a judge a “fat crank”.
Paul Butler had been brought to Liverpool Crown Court so a date could be re- arranged for his trial, which should have begun on Wednesday.
But it had to be adjourned because he had not been produced from prison because of an oversight.
When Butler appeared in court yesterday,in handcuffs, he refused to sit down.
And when the charge he faces, dangerous driving, was put to him he said he refused to recognise the court’s authority.
The judge,Recorder Anthony Russell,QC, warned Butler about his behaviour.
At this point, the judge warned him that if he did not behave appropriately he would jail him for two years.
Butler,of Grasmere Avenue,Warrington, then hurled abuse at the judge, describing him as “a fat crank”.He was then taken down to the cells to begin his sentence. Source

And this is British Justice, not in my book.

I was concerned about the first report linking Judge Russell to a gay sauna (my son works in one, by the way!) as being gay or bisexual is not the same as being a paedo but, in view of his sentencing of child molesters, his credibility is certainly brought into disrepute.

Read this and weep:

Will this paedophile ever be jailed? Gym coach who abused girls for 40 years is spared prison for a SECOND TIME... despite Solicitor General's plea for a harsher sentence

Bob Bellew admitted eight child sex offences in schools and gyms

He was handed 15-months suspended sentence after showing remorse

Judges reject CPS appeal to increase term because it's not 'unduly lenient'

Victims say courts 'favour' the abuser above those who were attacked
By Martin Robinson

10 June 2013

Anger: Bob Bellew was given a 15-month suspended sentence in April for abusing young girls, but High Court judges refused to increase it today

A renowned gymnastics coach who abused students as young as six over 40 years has avoided jail for the second time. Robert 'Bob' Bellew, 66, admitted attacking girls at schools and gyms across the country, but was given a 15-month suspended prison sentence in April after a judge said he had shown remorse. The pensioner, who served on a committee planning London 2012, admitted seven counts of indecent assault and one of sexual activity with a child.

His victims were outraged and the Crown Prosecution Service then appealed to try to get him thrown in jail. But three senior judges at London's Appeal Court have now rejected a bid by the Solicitor General, Oliver Heald QC, to jail Bellew at the second time of asking and to increase his sentence, because they believed his 15-month suspended term 'was not unduly lenient.'

Speaking after the hearing, one of Bellew's victims and her family slammed the courts for 'favouring' the abuser over those he had 'scarred for the rest of their lives'.

During the Appeal Court hearing Lady Justice Rafferty, who was among the three judges considering the CPS's application, said Bellew's shining reputation was 'shattered' after it emerged he had molested seven girls between the early 1970s and 2010, often using coaching sessions as a cover for his abuse.

The appeal judge said the former Community Coach of the Year lifted the leotards of some girls, rubbing and touching their genitals, grabbing one's bottom and molesting another while she performed a handstand. Lady Justice Rafferty said one of Bellew's first victims said she was terrified of telling anyone of his unwanted advances 'because he was her coach and others trusted him.'

Bellew, of New Cross, in south-east London, made one gymnast sit on his lap and rubbed her groin, saying 'these were the muscles which she needed to work on', before patting her bottom, the appeal judge said. Referring to statements made by his victims, Lady Justice Rafferty said: 'Some endure difficulties still in trusting men and, in general, each victim feels that her personal relationships have been affected by what she has had to endure.'

Decision: Judges at the high Court (pictured) said the sentence was not 'unduly lenient', to the fury of the gymnastic teacher's victims
Judge Joanna Korner
When sentencing him April, Judge Joanna Korner spared Bellew jail, suspending his sentence for two years after saying his case called for 'mercy' from the court.

Duncan Atkinson, for the Solicitor General, argued that the judge ought to have imposed a term above two years - which would have excluded the possibility of a suspension. He said: 'Bellew was entrusted to be with these young girls by their families to benefit them through gymnastics training. It was, as the sentencing judge recognised, a gross breach of trust and this was not reflected in the sentence imposed.'

Mr Atkinson said Bellew had since received a caution for witness intimidation after writing a letter to one of his victims after proceeedings.

But while Mr Barry Kogan, for Bellew, accepted the sentence was short, he denied it was excessively soft. He said: 'A total of 15 months was arguably somewhat on the lenient side but not unduly so. Further, there was indeed sufficient mitigation before the judge to justify her decision to make the suspended sentence order she did.'

Backing: Lady Justice Rafferty agreed with the first judge, Judge Joanna Korner, and said: 'We are not inclined to disturb the 15 months [Suspended]on which this judge settled'

The barrister said Bellew suffered from a heart condition and psychological problems as a result of the proceedings and argued his mitigation 'outweighed' the aggravating factors of the case. 'He is a broken man and I don't think he will ever recover. He has lost his life's work and, as the sentencing judge accepted quite openly, that, in some sense, was a severe sentence in itself,' Mr Kogan added.

Application: The Solicitor General, Oliver Heald QC, failed in the attempt to have Bellew's sentenced increased

Lady Justice Rafferty, sitting with Mr Justice Keith and Judge Jeremy Goss QC, rejected claims that the length of sentence was simply too short. 'Whilst some judges might well have imposed a term of more than 15 months, we are not inclined to disturb the 15 months on which this judge settled,' she added. The appeal judge admitted the court had 'struggled' to decide whether Bellew should have been caged but ultimately rejected the solicitor general's challenge against the suspension. 'After significant anxiety, we have concluded that the term of 15 months suspended for two years was not unduly lenient,' she concluded.

Speaking after the hearing, one of Bellew's victims said she felt let down by the justice system after watching the paedophile twice walk free. She said: 'I don't think I would come forward and complain again. 'It is nothing to do with what the police have done, but the judges - they favour the abusers rather than the people who have been abused.'

Her mother slammed the decision, saying she felt furious that Bellew was free to walk the streets after inflicting so much pain and suffering on his victims. She said: 'This is going to affect others who want to come forward. They are going to reference this case and refuse to come forward and another paedophile is going to get away with it again. 'We could have taken this into our own hands. If my husband had done that, he would have gone to prison. We have tried to do the right thing and this is what happens.' The victim's father added: 'I feel sorry for the police trying to catch these people and bring them to court. They have got Bellew bang to rights and then he gets away with it. These girls have been scarred for life.'

Weep some more....

Seven years bad luck for abuse victims in the West Country
Astonishing decision to promote controversial ‘paedophile-soft’ Judge

On 2nd August 2012, Judge Francis Gilbert QC was appointed resident judge at Exeter. He has a long – and to me, inexplicable – history in the West Country of handing out light sentences to, giving bail to, and overturning verdicts against, paedophiles – primarily in Plymouth. On 13th July 2011, six footballers imprisoned for raping 12 year old girls were released, after a ruling that their 2-year sentences were “excessive”. The six men all admitted various charges of rape against two 12 year old girls in a park late at night. Mr Judge Francis Gilbert QC ruled that being imprisoned was inappropriate as it was a ‘difficult’ case. The men were released, their sentences cut to one year…and suspended.

Just 16 days later, Gilbert was at it again. Try to absorb this logic: Anthony Milsom – described by the trial judge as a “manipulative and predatory” sex offender, was jailed indefinitely for public protection. Milsom admitted a series of offences dating back to the early 1990s including 16 counts of possessing indecent images of children, 21 charges of making indecent images, and five charges of indecent assault on a little girl when she was aged between four and eight. At the original trial, the court also heard that Milsom had newspaper cuttings relating to high-profile child murder inquiries including Milly Dowler, Sophie Hook, Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, as well as the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

His sentence was effectively life…but appeal court Judges (of whom one was Francis Gilbert QC) cut it to three and a half years.

And in 2005, he granted the request of the two paedophile defendants Palmer & Tapper to take a holiday during their trial. The reason for a holiday, they told Francis Gilbert, was stress. :wft:The couple, who ran a landlord and letting agency, assaulted their young victims after finding them homes when they came out of social services care. The two chums legged it to Turkey (nice place if you’re into little boys). Palmer was finally caught after an Interpol operation in late 2009, but by 2011 Tapper was still at large.

jd, I don't really know anything about that organisation or it's agenda, but all I see is one case of child abuse after another being treated as trivial misdemeanours by the courts. It really is shocking that the abuse and violation of youngsters is treated in this way by judges, and there needs to be an inquiry into it - not that inquiries ever do much good but at least it would bring this scandalous situation to the attention of more people. Corruption or rot in the judiciary? I don't know. But, these judges and their pathetically lenient sentencing of paedophiles, and sex offenders in general, need to be closely looked at.

I couldn't agree with you more

if you read up on Common Purpose, this will help you understand why these things are happening

http://www.cpexposed.com/about-common-purpose

Common Purpose is a political charity using Behavioural Modification
Common Purpose (CP) is a Charity, based in Great Britain, which creates ‘Future Leaders’ of society. CP selects individuals and ‘trains’ them to learn how society works, who 'pulls the levers of power' and how CP ‘graduates’ can use this knowledge to lead 'Outside Authority’.

Children, teenagers and adults have their prejudices removed. Graduates are ‘empowered’ to become ‘Leaders’ and work in ‘partnership’ with other CP graduates. CP claims to have trained some 30,000 adult graduates in UK and changed the lives of some 80,000 people, including schoolchildren and young people.

But evidence shows that Common Purpose is rather more than a Charity ‘empowering' people and communities’. In fact, CP is an elitest pro-EU political organisation helping to replace democracy in UK, and worldwide, with CP chosen ‘elite’ leaders. In truth, their hidden networks and political objectives are undermining and destroying our democratic society and are threatening ‘free will’ in adults, teenagers and children. Their work is funded by public money and big business, including international banks.

Common Purpose is linked to a host of other suspect trusts, foundations, think-tanks, quangos and so called charities. DEMOS is a key example. These organisations funnel political and social CHANGE policy through CP, to re-frame graduates. Examples range from promotion of Diversity in every company and organisation, to Curfews for young people.

Common Purpose promotes the 'empowerment of individuals', except where individuals challenge the activities of CP, and public spending on CP. These people are branded vexatious, extremist, right wing or mentally unsound. Mrs Julia Middleton, the Chief Executive of Common Purpose, praises the work of German bankers. Deutsche Bank is, of course, a major power behind Common Purpose. Mrs Middleton, earning circa £80,000 p.a. from her charity, is also very happy to promote the term 'USEFUL IDIOTS' in her book 'Beyond Authority'. Are we the General Public the USEFUL IDIOTS, or are the Elitest Common Purpose Graduates? You must decide.

Leveson Inquiry has momentous implications for free speech. But Mail dossier raises disturbing questions about the influence of 'people who know best'

Bell is a trustee and a former chairman of a leadership training organisation called Common Purpose, whose thousands of 'graduates' have been described as the 'Left's answer to the old boys' network.' (though not all share the same political views).  Their identities are well protected.

Founded by Ms Middleton and registered as a charity, Common Purpose boasts a 'considerable reach' throughout senior positions in public life. Millions of pounds of taxpayers' money have been spent on sending public servants on its courses.

Three of the six Leveson assessors have Common Purpose connections, either through direct participation or through senior colleagues within the organisations they lead or have led.

Bell and Middleton set up the Media Standards Trust, a lobby group which presented a huge amount of evidence to the Inquiry. The Media Standards Trust, whose chairman was Bell, gave its 'prestigious' Orwell Prize for political writing to a journalist who turned out to have made up parts of his 'award-winning' articles.

The Media Standards Trust established Hacked Off, the virulently anti-popular-press campaign group which has boasted of its role in significantly increasing the Inquiry's terms of reference. The Media Standards Trust shared the same headquarters address as Common Purpose. It then shared an address with Hacked Off, whose funding it controlled.

Many of those who provided the most hostile anti-press evidence to Leveson are linked to senior figures at the Media Standards Trust and Hacked Off.

The Media Standards Trust has strong links with Ofcom, the statutory media regulator which, despite its denials,  some suspect has ambitions to regulate Britain's free press. Ofcom's ex-chairman Lord Currie is a Leveson assessor.

Much of the financing of the Media Standards Trust comes from a charity of which Bell is a trustee — a practice that, while legal, would seem to many to be inappropriate.

Despite being formed by the Media Standards Trust, which is campaigning for 'transparency and accountability in the news', Hacked Off refuses to make explicit the sources of its own funding.

And, of course, Bell is a trustee of the now notorious Bureau of Investigative Journalism, which has wreaked such damage on the BBC.

Common Purpose almost certainly breached the Data Protection Act (which guards the confidentiality of digitally stored information), the very charge levelled by the Leveson Inquiry against virtually all newspapers.

Common Purpose is connected to some of Britain's most powerful lobby and PR groups, whose influence on British politics has provoked continuing controversy.

Common Purpose linked figures have a significant influence on the appointments process in Whitehall. Until last year, Common Purpose's David Bell sat on the committee that appointed Britain's 'Top 200' civil servants

The connections between all these people is stunning - makes you wonder what is really going on behind the scenes. Do we ever get the truth about anything in this country? Also, Leveson is chairman of the Sentencing Council which, I believe, has recommended softer sentences for sex offenders.

Judges and Lenient sentences !

Soft judges let off ten child perverts a week

TEN child sex fiends are spared jail EVERY week by soft judges, shock figures reveal.
It means nearly HALF of all guilty paedos are let off, many despite crimes spanning decades.
Among 531 perverts to get community sentences or cautions last year were 40 who abused children through porn or forced them into vice.
One sicko who walked free from court had 29 convictions and another 27.
In total, of 1,174 paedophiles found guilty last year, only 643 were jailed, Ministry of Justice stats show.
Hundreds more beasts convicted of sex attacks on adults got off with the kind of lenient punishments that have sparked The Sun’s Say No To Soft Justice crusade.
They included 55 rapists and 1,155 men found guilty of sexually assaulting women — half the total.
MPs last night accused Justice Secretary Ken Clarke of putting kids at risk as he bids to slash inmate numbers.
Tory Priti Patel said: “This shockingly illustrates what’s wrong with our justice system. The priority must be to protect the public from these vile criminals who harm children.
“The answer is to ensure these prolific offenders are kept behind bars.”
The 43 police forces in England and Wales that released info recorded 23,097child sex offences in 2011 and is equivalent to 444 attacks a week — or one child abused every 20 minutes
Just some of the sentences in 2011/2012 that were “Unduly lenient”
Click the name of each offender to open full report
In May 2012  A JUDGE took pity on a sex offender and decided sending him to prison would be “utterly cruel”. Andrew Jackson, 48, twice stalked schoolgirls aged 13 and 14 and attacked a disabled woman he claimed was a prostitute. But Judge Jeremy Richardson QC allowed him to walk free, saying it would border on cruelty to jail him because he suffers from Asperger syndrome.
In March 2012 Roger Borton, a married father who downloaded a million indecent images after developing an obsession for collecting child abuse images walked free from court with a 12 month suspended sentence. Borton admitted some of the images were at Level 5, the most serious
In April 2011 A JUDGE has sparked fury by freeing a paedophile — after saying his 13-year-old victim had seduced HIM. Twisted David Barnes, 24, encouraged the teenager to perform intimate acts while he watched on a webcam, also had images of the most indecent type of child rape on his computer. Walked free with a suspended sentence.
In March 2012 David Reed was convicted of sexually abusing a youngster has been handed a suspended jail term. He denied wrongdoing but a jury found he abused the girl when she was aged between five and eight. Reed was found guilty of four indecent assaults, four gross indecencies, four sexual assaults and four charges of inciting a youngster aged under-13 to engage in sexual activity.
In May 2012 A babysitter who molested a six-year-old boy has been spared a prison sentence. Andrew Filer abused the boy while the youngster’s parents were out in December 2009. Police arrested Filer the next day and he admitted that he had pulled down the boy’s trousers and sexually abused him for about ten minutes
Those given a slap on the wrist included Windsor Castle guide Ross Thomas, 76, of Slough, Berks — who repeatedly attacked a boy, 11, but got a suspended term.
Depraved Cyril Maxwell, 67, got a four-year suspended sentence last week for nine assaults on the lad between 1968 and 1970.
AN 89-year-old man who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl has been spared jail. Dennis Perry was given a six-month community order and forced to sign onto the Sex Offenders Register for five years. Perry held his victim down on a bed, kissing and groping her for about 15 minutes during the attack in 2010
In March 2011 A RETIRED Worcestershire postman who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl at a holiday park has avoided jail. Malcolm Grogan has been given a three-year community order
In Jan 2011 SUFFOLK Scout troop assistant Ryan Jameson who took pictures of three children after blindfolding them and tying their hands has walked free from court after a judge decided he needed help rather than punishment
William D’Arcy faced court in May 2012. After three hours’ deliberation, the jury returned a unanimous verdict that he did commit six rapes and 14 offences of gross indecency against the children. D’Arcy was given a two-year supervision order and told to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for five years.
In June 2011 Simon Hill admitted indecently assaulting a 13-year-old girl in 2003 and sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in 2009. Judge Hart sentenced him to a three-year community order with supervision and a requirement to attend the Thames Valley Sex Offender programme for 60 days
In Jan 2012 A paedophile from whom police seized one million indecent images of children has been given a suspended jail term. Robert James Barrow, 57, of Plaistow, east London, admitted to making and possessing indecent images of children. Barrow was sentenced to a 12-month jail term suspended for two years
In July 2011 A man walked free from court, despite pleading guilty to engaging in sexual activity with an 8-year-old girl. Marcin Gamus, 31, was given a three-year community order and ordered to attend a sex offenders’ treatment programme for inappropriately touching the youngster in Stretham
In June 2011  A former Canterbury school teacher who kissed and fondled a teenage girl has been ordered to take therapy to deal with his sex offending. Anthony Carlile, 28, was seen to stroke the girl’s thigh before inviting her back to his home. He admitted abusing his position of trust to engage in sexual activity and was given a two-year community order.
March 2011 A sex offender who sat naked in his car in a busy leisure centre car park masterbating while looking at children has dodged jail. Nick Watts also had 22,000 indecent images of children, of various levels of seriousness. Given a 10-month jail sentence, suspended for two years, after admitting a total of 23 charges.
In Feb 2012 A judge has been criticised for failing to jail a pervert who groomed a 14-year-old girl for sex after ruling he was being ‘simply a young man’. Turon Ali, 26, groomed the schoolgirl by sending her explicit text messages and then arranged a secret meeting where he planned to abuse her. But Ali avoided jail with a 12-month suspended sentence after a top judge ruled he was ‘not a paedophile as such’.
October 2011 Gordon Edwards, aged 52, and his twisted brother Ronald, aged 56, were both given suspended jail sentences for a catalogue of vile offences involving girls aged between nine and 14 which took place more than 30 years ago.
July 2011 A PAEDOPHILE from Faversham who said he viewed 11-year-old girls as “young women” has been handed a community order. Lewis Harris, admitted looking at indecent images when browsing a website designed as a “meeting place” for those with a sexual interest in children.
The Ministry of Justice said convictions and jail terms for sex offenders were up but added: “Sentencing is a matter for judges.”

Soft Sentences Given To Paedophiles
Posted by Bob in Crime, Law & Police,Paedophiles
Child porn perverts, some with more than 20 previous convictions, are being spared prison because of soft-touch sentencing guidelines for judges.
Potentially dangerous paedophiles are repeatedly being freed back into the community.
The Sentencing Council, which sets the punishments judges can give criminals, has laid down rules stating that child porn offenders can get away with community sentences if they are caught with ‘a large amount’ of sickening photos and other material.
To be spared prison, the pictures cannot have been shared with other paedophiles.
The ‘maximum penalty available for possessing indecent photographs’ is five years, while ‘taking or making ,distributing or showing, such photographs’ is 10 years.
Yet paedophiles pleading guilty get an automatic 50% cut in jail sentences for anything over 12 months.

Maybe we should all write to the Sentencing council and complain, as these judges are not protecting children and putting childrens lives in danger.
