Who is father Manuel ?

Post by Guest on 31.10.12 21:38

Latest Update - Gerry's Blog/Diary
Day 94 - 05/08/2007

We attended church this morning as usual. The local priest father Manuel is on holiday so the mass was all in Portuguese and although quicker than normal we did not understand too much of the sermon.

I note there was a lot of coverage of Kates interview in the Sunday newspapers today. I managed to read one of them and certainly seemd to sum up very well how we are feeling and coping without Madeleine. The key message is that we are doing everything we can to help find Madeleine.

After lunch we had a metting with our campaign manager and Kates family to run through a few things which will be happening rhis week. There was going to be a lot of media here leading up to the 100 days although we still hope we will not get to that marker, even before this latest search by the Portuguese police.

Kate and I popped back down to the church later on tonight to say a few quiet prayers for Madeleine. The town is much busier at tnight than when we first came here on holiday and ieven compared to a few weeks ago.

Computer glitches now sorted out thanks to Calum at infohost.

Hmm, is that where the 37,000 pounds went then? At which stage did he learn to spell Madeleine?

Hmm so he was the priest??
In the police files it says this

his work area is in the tourist resort situated on 44 Rua Direita, a local which is 500 meters in distance from the apartment where the English child named Madeleine disappeared;

Questioned as to whether in Past times he noted or was aware through communication with colleagues of the resort that a strange person/personsWere seen around the resort, or asked strange questions about the tourists and children who accompanied them or about the proper installations of the resort, the deponent states that only an employee named Bernardino Silva, told him on Friday, the 04 of May, that the day prior, the date the child went missing, that hesaw a strange individual around the resort; . The deponent does not remember any details of what that employee told him but knows that the same employee was already questioned by the Judicial Police regarding these facts;

So worked as a priest or in a tourist resort then `?
I acually has started a topic before about this man, without knowing he was father Manuel.
