I have always found both JT's character and her role in this saga fascinating.
Gerry, the loquacious clown turned arrogant bully, streetwise and cunning. Kate, the showy and ambitious, would be prima donna but for her innate sense of insecurity and inadequacy.
She, the plain Jane, on the other hand follows Gerry's bidding but never quite getting it right. The more she tries the bigger muddle she gets herself into. Jane wants to be Kate's friend, Kate she adores. But she doesn't even get a thank you from her shining star for all the pain and anguish she's gone through. Poor Jane.
