MI5 Spy Gareth Williams ~ Body In The Bag ~ DNA Blunders

Post by MrsC on 30.03.12 14:41

Blundering cops chased false leads...

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/family-of-mi6-spy-gareth-williams-776949

'Evidence may have been removed from the top-floor flat in Alderney Street, Pimlico, because there was no DNA evidence, fingerprints or any sign of covert entry.'

'Another "red herring" was a Mediterranean couple the police were seeking in connection with the death, the hearing was told.'

Well if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it was possible. It's kind of obvious now given that the bag is a flexible fabric that the zip could be manipulated in such a way that the two zipper bits could be brought together so the padlock can be closed then flex against the edges of the bag to force the zipper to shut fully... still it doesn't prove that was what happened in this case..

Though it is a revelation that this is also how baggage handlers can open these types of bags if so inclined.... you could probably manipulate the zip to get enough slack to get your hand into the bag to pinch stuff.....

Quite, makes you wonder. How could he lock a padlock, then the key was found under his body?? How can a padlock be on the inside?? Doh!

No palm prints on the edges of the bath, no fingerprints on the padlock... and if that isn't indicative enough of foul play , what about the fact that ''His decomposing remains were not found until a week later inside his MI6-owned flat, where the central heating had been left on despite the summer weather. ''

NEAT summing up

MI6 spy - Met find no evidence of foul play, conclude: killed himself.
Maddie case - no evidence of abduction - conclude: abduction.

Sorry PM, shouldn't that read: Maddie case -Met find no evidence of foul play (=abduction), conclude: went walkabout all by herself?

Burst out laughing when I heard this on the radio today.
There was an interview with the detective involved on radio 4 this evening, he was saying "no I don't think I have been made a fool of and my credibility is not being drawn into question"

err... yes it is and giving that interview made it all the worse.

Reminds of the episode of homeland coming up on UK TV this Sunday where...the CIA force the local police to whitewash a murder.

It's interesting though that some of the papers are printing stories which doubt the official verdict.

Now why can't they do that with you know who?

Because it would prejudice their right to a fair trial... and the UK press have believed there will be a trial from day 1.
