Response to the disappearance of Madeleine Mccann Empty Response to the disappearance of Madeleine Mccann

Stephen Winyard, who owns a Scottish health spa, Response to the disappearance of Madeleine Mccann Images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTiSpN1bRbEYzYKNe2HPt3qu0skrfQ7ZDIU10rRVgzY_CQy29tv and is the owner of Stobo castle (Health Spa) donated 100,000 pounds sterling to the Mccanns´ defence fund:

Stephen Winyard came out in December as having contributed £100,000 to the McCanns' defence fund, which paid for DNA tests carried out on the Renault Scénic hire car used by the McCanns. What does this mean? I am not implying that Winyard paid explicitly to have the DNA tests carried out, it just seems strange to me that the Mccanns´did these tests, were they parallel tests or what?

Response to the disappearance of Madeleine Mccann Empty re-Stephen Winyard and Donations

Post by joan thomas 11.09.11 20:49

Apparently Mr Stephen Winyard bid £15.000 for the (MMT) Muir Maxwell charity calendar

at the Angel Ball 2005.

Calender title, To Touch The Wings of an Angel, is a beautiful calender depicting sweet,

small children dressed as little angels.

Response to the disappearance of Madeleine Mccann Empty Stephen Winyards money

Post by pauline 11.09.11 21:03

According to Wikipedia Stephen Winyard contributed £100,000 for legal costs.

however Kate does not mention this large amount in her 'truthful' book. How could she forget such generosity?

She does mention him on p.122 - he promised £1million as a reward for the person finding Madeleine. however, as she has not been found, he has not had to pay over this very large amount.

Indeed Pauline. Within a fortnight of Madeleine's disappearance there was a reward of £2.6m in place but the Mcs never pushed this. AFAIK they don't publicise anything about a reward on their FB page. I don't look at their FB page (weak stomach). I'd love to see somebody ask them on there about the reward. Any takers?
