The new Prime Minister hardly has her feet under the desk and the Mcs are off. I hope she reads the comments on this article. Not one of them is supportive of the McCanns. Is there anybody left who believes the McScams?

I don't understand why the PJ didn't ask British police to ask Kate McCann to answer the '48 questions'. Surely they would want to know the answers to these pertinent questions before they spend millions of taxpayers' money on investigations?

Where will it end ?
Can't say I'm surprised, I was anticipating some buoyancy from clan McCann following the intronisation of Ms May.
What next - a royal assent, or better still a right royal warrant..
Is that I curtsy I see or - 'on this occasion I'll lower myself to your level - your majesty'?

It's The Sun, it's that source again!
Just another media spin to sell papers, and tout the "abduction", nothing new ( well maybe a new dress for TMay's visit to her Majesty) it's a game they are all playing!
It is never going to stop; they have all tried to pull the wool over the publics eyes: nothing is to do with Madeleine anymore (if it ever was) God bless that poor little mite!
And God bless the twins!
I've really had my fill of the Dr's McCann's, perhaps Branson could buy them a one way ticket to his desert island for Pina colada instead of strawberry vodka!

If I remember correctly, Theresa May, in the first instance, refused a review of the McCann case. It was only when Rebekah Brooks threatened Cameron and her with a series of bad headlines that she gave in.
Theresa doesn't like police corruption and she does appear to seek to do as the public want, not what she wants.
The McCanns and story seller Brooks will want Theresa to continue this investigation. Perhaps we should get in first with a letter congratulating her on her new post as PM but warning her not to spoil it by losing her reputation to the likes of team McCann.

I noticed in the original photo how she stood closer to the other mother leaving a noticeable gap between her and K.
She is PM now and I have this feeling she is tougher than Cameron and hasn't any dirty laundry in her background that could be used to pressure her re decision making.

I believe the headline threat was aimed at Cameron. But do we know whether Brooks would be reporting truthfully about Theresa May? She has not been honest with us in a number of McCann reports. It could be the May knows how manipulative and dangerous Brooks is.

The new Prime Minister hardly has her feet under the desk and the Mcs are off. I hope she reads the comments on this article. Not one of them is supportive of the McCanns. Is there anybody left who believes the McScams?
The irony in all this is. Setting aside the media word twisting of 'being a mother' with Andrea Leadsom. Theresa May being a woman and wanting to be a mother but unfortunately was unable. Might harbour utter contempt for 'our Kate' based on her reported parenting skills of leaving her children alone at night.

I agree it's possible. In fact very possible. I think the distance shown between her and Kate in the photo could be indicative of contempt.MRNOODLES wrote:maebee wrote:https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/1467966/madeleine-maddie-kate-and-gerry-mccann-hope-new-pm-theresa-may-will-revive-search-for-missing-tot/#comments

Does anyone feel that the Sun and McC's could be putting some pressure on TM by the release of this story?

Rebekah Brooks at the Leveson inquiry [under oath - whatever that might mean in Brook speak]
She adds: "I had always got on very well with Gerry and Kate McCann. I think if asked they would be very positive about the Sun. In this case I thought Dominic Mohan's idea to run the campaign, this review of Madeleine's case by the home secretary, was the right thing to do … I don't think I spoke to Theresa May directly. Dominic [Mohan] may have done."
Brooks says she did not take the McCann issue up with Downing Street.
Editor Dominic Mohan or Tom Newton-Dunn, the Sun's political editor, will have spoken to No 10 or the Home Office about reopening the Madeleine investigation after the Sun's campaign, she says.
Was there an ultimatum or threat to the home secretary?
"I'm pretty sure there will not have been a threat, but you will have to ask Dominic Mohan," she says.
Jay says he has been told that Brooks intervened personally with the prime minister and said the Sun would put Theresa May on the front page every day until the paper's demands were met.
Brooks says that is not true. "I did not say to the prime minister we would put Theresa May on the front page every day. If I'd had any conversations with No 10 directly they would not have been particularly about that," she adds.
12.55pm: Lord Justice Leveson intervenes. He asks whether Brooks was involved in a strategy to threaten No 10 in order to obtain a review of the Madeleine investigation.
"I was certainly part of a strategy to launch a campaign in order to get a review for the McCanns," Brooks says, disputing that it was a "threat".
Leveson: "Give me another word for it, would you?"
Brooks: "Persuade?"
Leveson appears unconvinced.
12.57pm: Jay suggests the government yielded to Brooks's pressure to reopen the McCann investigation. "It only took about a day," he notes, drily.
Brooks insists that this was a worthwhile campaign.....

All IMO of course but TM will do what it takes. What freakin planet are those people really from? Did they teleport to planet earth?

hentie has asked me to post a uncropped version of the above photo (I hasten to add that I wasn't aware it had been cropped). Here it is:
hentie says: 'Look at the body language - see how close Theresa May is with Coral Jones, but notice the distinct gap between Theresa May and Kate McCann'.
Additional note: Whilst we all may have much sympathy with Coral Jones, it remains a plain, hard fact that her daughter, April, aged only 5, was playing unsupervised up to 220 yards away from her home after 7pm on an October evening when it was already getting dark

Just watched that again - my goodness what a slippery eel that woman is - ducking and diving and never giving a really straight answer. It was all clouded with `I think`, `maybe`, `it could have been`, `you`ll have to ask Dominic`, `too long ago to remember` and all said in that pinched twee upper-class accent - I bet she started out with a Liverpudlian accent. She was certainly `upper-class` when she beat up Ross Kemp !Verdi wrote:Rebekah Brooks at the Leveson inquiry [under oath - whatever that might mean in Brook speak]

It appears some changes have been made to the cropped photo.
Theresa May is heavier round the hips. An extra segment of dress it seems.
Was the original photo rather too explicit as to the attitude of TM towards K?

Maddie McCann’s parents hope ‘supportive’ Theresa May will reverse decision to end search
MADELEINE McCann’s parents hope Theresa May will keep alive the police search for their daughter.
Kate and Gerry have found the new Prime Minister supportive in previous discussions and now hope she will back keeping the £12million hunt going.
When Home Secretary under previous PM David Cameron, Mrs May pushed resources towards the Metropolitan Police to allow the force to carry on searching for Madeleine.
Scotland Yard’s inquiry is due to be axed in the coming months but Madeleine’s doctor parents hope Mrs May – and her new Home Secretary Amber Rudd - will make a U-turn.
A source close to the family said: “Kate and Gerry know the inquiry has to end one day but it is possible more time could be granted by Mrs May.

How many other parents of a lost child have had a private audience with the Prime Minister and the Home Secretary?
If Theresa May was pressured into funding Operation Grange, you need to ask why. If David Cameron pressured Theresa May into funding Operation Grange, you need to ask why. Talking of photos of TM and Mrs. There is one somewhere with May, the Meyers woman and Mrs. where they looked quite friendly to me.
