Child Reported Missing 13 Years Ago Found Safe
A child who disappeared 13 years ago in Alabama has been found safe and unharmed in Cleveland, Ohio.
Julian Hernandez was five years old when his mother reported him missing in August 2002.
His father, 53-year-old Bobby Hernandez, has been arrested in Ohio and is facing abduction charges in Alabama, among other counts.
Vestavia Hills Police Lt Johnny Evans told WVTM-TV: "I've been doing this 25 years and it's something I've never experienced before.
"That's the reason you never give up and you keep looking."
Bobby Hernandez was supposed to drop off Julian at nursery on the day the boy went missing, but he never did so.
Investigators suspected the father and child could have been using fake names, but were never able to locate the pair of them.
The case broke when Julian was trying to apply for college, and his Social Security number didn't match his name.
School officials found out that he was on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children database.
Vicki Anderson, an FBI special agent in Ohio, said they received information on 30 October that a local teenager may be a missing child.
Julian's mother and family have been notified of his discovery.
The father made his first appearance at Cuyahoga County Court on Wednesday, and his bond was set at $250,000 (£164,000).
Hernandez is also charged with tampering with records in Ohio to get a driver's licence.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 12 November.

The hunt for McCann has been given renewed hope after Hernandez's recovery
Julian Hernandez, who went missing when he was just five years old, has been miraculously recovered - but only after he applied to college.
The boy who disappeared in Alabama in 2002 was found thousands of miles away in Cleveland, Ohio living with his father who has since been charged with his abduction.
The case may give hope renewed hope in the hunt for Maddie, who disappeared in 2007 while on holiday in the Algarve region of Portugal.
Last month the hunt for missing Maddie was massively scaled back today after a eight-year long investigation.
The team of 29 British detectives who have been searching for Maddie will be reduced to just four who will focus solely on the child's disapearance.
However, detectives may be encouraged as Julian was missing for even longer than Maddie but still was found alive.
Julian, who is now 18 years old, was found after he struggled to apply for universities after his Social Security number was suddenly rejected.
When he approached a counsellor for help, his school realised that he was listed as a missing child by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
His father, Bobby Hernandez, 53, is currrently being held at a jail in Ohio.
He is expected to face felony charges, including interference with custody, that could send him to prison for one to 10 years.
The FBI became involved and worked alongside Alabama Police to track down the long-missing child and confirm his identity.

His mother, who originally reported his missing, has been notified of his recovery.
She is reportedly "ecstatic" to find her son, however it will be up to Julian whether he wants to be reunited.
Lt. Kevin York said Julian Hernandez's mother was happy "but also somewhat hesitant because there had been so many false leads through the years".
He added that because Mr Hernandez is an adult, "it's kind of up to him now as to whether he wants to come back."
He said: "I've been doing this 25 years and its something I've never experienced before.
"That's the reason you never give up and you keep looking."
District Attorney Brandon Falls in Jefferson County, Alabama, said that it is unlikely that the boy even knew he was listed as missing.
The child went missing in August 2002 when his father offered to take him to pre-school.
His father, who did not have custody of his son, allegedly snatched the youngster and changed their last name to Mangina.
He also had withdrew large amounts of cash from his bank accounts and the case was listed as a suspected non-custodial parent abduction.

Re: Child Reported Missing 13 Years Ago Found Safe
I wonder why every missing child case has to be compared to the Madeleine McCann case in msm, when there are usually no comparisons at all to MBM?
As in this case where the boy has been located and it was a parental abduction by his father! So can we say either K.McC or G. McC abducted their own child then, because that would be a legitimate comparison. Why is msm being so absurd to compare everything to the Madeleine case, when those two abandoned their own babies in a foreign country and left them alone night after night to go out with their holiday companions? If that is actually even the truth of what they told in that regard? I mean honestly what did they think was going to happen in such a scenario where those two so called parents shirked their responsibility towards their children and threw caution to the wind? Are they really that stupid to think what they did was risk free? What if all their children had of vanished that night, would that of been okay? And to then try to evoke sympathy from the public? Get real. The only victim in the case is Madeleine, and she is the one that should get our sympathy, not those low life so called parents. And if the story about them leaving their little ones alone in an apartment is a lie, then what really happened to Maddie? But i think one thing is for sure and that is that this has been one big cover up at the expense of a helpless child and it is disgusting.

Re: Child Reported Missing 13 Years Ago Found Safe
What's the weather like, in Ohio, at the moment?
DCI Wall +3 would have 'preferred' Florida, imo, for a parental child 'abduction' erm, 'interview' with the father, in relation to him being able to 'shed any light' on Madeleine's 'disappearance'.
What's 'next'?
The OG4 to 'interview' the Boko Haram 'leader' about 'what' HE 'knows' about child 'abductions'?

PDL 'resident',
