Conley Thompson, seven years old, missing since last night in South Yorkshire

Post by Get'emGonçalo on 27.07.15 8:47

A search is under way to try and find a seven-year-old boy who has not been seen since Sunday evening.
Conley Thompson was last seen at Locke Park in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, at around 8pm, where he had gone to play with his friends.
South Yorkshire Police believe he left the park at that time and was supposed to return home to Underwood Avenue in Worsbrough, but did not turn up and was reported missing.
Conley is white and has very short mousey brown coloured hair and blue eyes.
He was wearing a blue checked shirt, red shoes, a black coat and brown trousers on the day he disappeared.
Officers are growing increasingly concerned about his whereabouts and have made a number of enquiries in a bid to trace Conley.
Anyone who believes they may have seen him is urged to call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 1148 of 26 July 2015.

I hope to God this child is found safe and well. What a seven year old was doing at a park at 8pm beggars belief. This park is a bit of a schlep from his home. The police have not said if he left the park with anyone. The police have not said if he went to the park in a group. The police have not said what time he left his house. The police have not said a lot of things. Local knowledge, strong police detective units and an appeal to the public is just about right at the moment. I pray this little boy is found safe.

I just don't understand a chid that age being allowed to walk 2 miles to a park and back to play with friends, he was out of sight all that time crossing roads and doing god knows what.  The building site where he was found is actually close to his home, so possibly he went in there before he got home and then had an accident.

No, poor thing and I can tell you all, that the only way the 2 miles can be calculated is as the bird flies? I wish parents would take responsibility for their kids instead of blaming everybody else. R.I.P.Conoly.

It was raining that night and still he was out playing at 7yrs old, going to the towns park which is miles away at 6pm ???

Where was the Mum and Dad in all this and why did they think it ok for him to be playing so far from home at 6pm in the rain at 7yrs of age ?
