The Mirror link about Redwood leaving has an extremely telling clip of video (which for me has made a penny drop)

Kirsty Young asks about going staight to the swimming pool when the McCanns first get there.  Is the Mirror trying to say something to its readers?

SERIOUSLY, PEOPLE.

THe Leicestershire Social Services NEED to 'check' on the 'twins'..........right NOW!

TODAY, preferably!

But certainly in the 'next' week.

"Press button and we'd ALL be gone"

"Car crash wipes us ALL out"

If, IF, this new 'boss' is totally 'kosher' there's no telling what 'some' people might do, is there?

I find it odd how the McCann's describe their time by the pool ("last photograph") There's no finer detail about what happened there. All they are talking about, is what you can see in the photograph; for example, sunny day, what Madeleine was wearing. Sitting by the pool. Something isn't adding up.

That's the point sallypelt, there's no animation, nothing about Madeleine's day, just about what she was wearing, it was sunny and they were sitting by the pool and took a photograph...the 'last photograph'...and then there was the other tennis ball photograph which was apparently Gerry's favourite according to Kate (although Gerry says his best memory was the 'last photograph') and Kate boasts of her photograph being across the globe when in actual fact neither photograph has any provenance whatsoever and there are those females in the Tapas 7 who claim to have photographed Madeleine with tennis balls.

It doesn't add up as you so rightly say.

It makes a lot of sense though if the events behind the photos never happened.  If you add details other than the photo, then you have to remember what you invent.  And both Gerry and Kate have to remember the same stuff.

Classic prisoners dilemma game theory.  Best and safest strategy is to describe the photo. Can never be forgotten, and both can do it in an way that will never conflict.

A simple trick and one of many that hopefully the new boss will spot on day 1 of her takeover.

I want to see Clarence in the dock at some point to explain his media strategy. I want to see this man who manipulated the media and drove an awareness campaign in the dock to explain how he knew he was right about the demise of a little 3 year old.

I want to see Clarence swear on oath that the weird private detectives run by the private limited company from which he was paid £70,000 p.a. was absolutely kosher.

That pink thing needs to be in a court room.

Just my lil' old opinion.

Not if the story of Hollie Greig is anything to go by, and those involved went onto further 'cleaning up' activities of a different nature.

This woman seems interesting, so far -- it seems too long since the days when you'd hear about people doing their jobs (not just having meetings about meetings to talk about talking about the job) and achieving results, let alone quickly. Also, she talks about the victim as if she really understands what it is they are there for. Let this be a good omen, please.

Britain also has a woman Home Secretary.

I would imagine the old boss is not incognisant of the games played by those who have something to hide, Bishop, and is no doubt aware of the tendency of the McCanns to continue to add embellishment to their original story in order to fool those gullible enough to believe their claims about the events of 3 May 2007.

As for the new boss, she is likely to prove resistant to the ploys of those females who attempt to use their feminine charms to obsfucate the truth and is no doubt something of a red rag to a bull when questioning males who are chauvinistic by nature and/or inclination.

It's odd that the CW shows Kate at the pool with Gerry and Madeleine splashing their feet into the water when the last photo says something else. If that scene was meant to be day of arrival, then Kate's mention of "hence the pool photo" is so out of synch and so out of context with the flow of the sequence of events shown on the programme.

It's not clear she meant first or last day. Confusion is good....yeah...tell us about it!

Although I can see reason why this course of action was not taken, imo the twins should have been removed from their parents immediately on their return to the UK, jeanmonroe.

However, it would beggar belief if the twins have not been the subjects of some form of supervisory order and, indeed, such is the secrecy of the family courts, for all we know they may have also been warded with care and control being given to the parents.

Fwiw, I consider it more likely that 'the scientist' who 'cut chunks' of hair from the twins' heads while they were sleeping (these two are noted for sleeping through events which would have other tots screaming) and left their mother looking as if she had 'alopecia' was acting at the instigation of Leicester Social Services rather than the author of Exhibit KH1's version of this momentous occasion. .

Head of CPS also a woman - Alison Saunders (although not sure TB has great confidence in her!)
Mind you, I don`t have much confidence in T.May.

Lets hope Ines, Alison and Nicola can score some points for the ladies.

A source say's,more like they don't know but let us hope they haven't got anything.

After Andy Redwood's announcement, a source close to the inquiry said: "A lead detective would not typically stand down if they can see a result in the pipeline"

From today's Telegraph:

"...Portuguese police closed down their investigation into her death in 2008 but the Met launched its own operation three years later.

Mr and Mrs McCann paid tribute to Mr Redwood's work on the investigation into their daughter's disappearance.
In a statement, they said: "We would really like to thank Andy Redwood for his commitment to the search for Madeleine. We appreciate everything he has done and the great progress that has been made under his leadership.
"We are sure the investigation will continue in the same positive way under his successor DCI Wall.
"We don't think Andy could have done more for our family, especially for Madeleine."

This from The Portugal Resident.

» Madeleine: Redwood moves over for “painted” lady Posted by portugalpress on December 05, 2014 Madeleine: Redwood moves over for “painted” lady Just as the Met confirmed that thus far the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has cost the British taxpayer over £10 million, detective-in-charge Andy Redwood has announced that he will be retiring and handing over to a rather unusual DCI from Homicide and Major Crime Command, Nicola Wall. Ms Wall, who appeared in Vogue last year, is described as an officer who “enjoys playing with her femininity if only to shake up the stuffier factions of the Met”. She told Vogue how she usually wears “a heel” and “always” paints her nails. Twenty-five years with the Met, has seen her with over nine years as a DCI, most recently heading up Homicide and Major Crime. She is also a trained hostage and crisis negotiator. In interview with Vogue, she said she “usually has about six or seven live cases at any one time, and prides herself on her investigative speed”. As the article pointed out, “she is only partially joking when she attributes her low media profile to the fact ‘we solve cases so quickly nobody gets involved…" Thus Wall is a perfect choice for a case that has taken upwards of seven years so far to get to the point where it is re-interviewing people who were discounted from the original PJ investigation. According to today’s Telegraph, DCI Redwood will be introducing Nicola Wall to the Portuguese authorities when the latest Met team arrives to interview witnesses on Monday (see: http://portugalresident.com/madeleine-met-returns-to-algarve-to-grill-br...) Meantime, as the Met reshuffles its Operation Grange, in Portugal the long-standing defamation case taken out by Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann against former PJ police detective Gonçalo Amaral is due to reconvene in Lisbon next Wednesday at 9.30am. - See more at: http://portugalresident.com/madeleine-redwood-moves-over-for-%E2%80%9Cpainted%E2%80%9D-lady#sthash.2623PBHU.dpuf
