Madeleine:Two British men declared arguidos and a British couple are witnesess

Madeleine – Two British expats set to be declared suspects
by Brendan de Beer, in News · 13-11-2014 17:56:00 · 0 Comments
Sources close to the investigation involving the search for missing British toddler Madeleine McCann have this week told The Portugal News two British expats are set to be declared formal suspects or arguidos. Another two Britons will be called in as witnesses.
Madeleine – Two British expats set to be declared suspects

Dates for questioning have been confirmed as being from November 24 to 28 at the PJ police headquarters in Faro.
Sources said the questioning of suspects was unlikely to stretch beyond this period.
The Portugal News revealed last week (6 November) that the Metropolitan Police were keen to speak to a number of British expats in the Algarve.
Any new requests will have to come in the form of a new international letter of request.
Sources said there are 11 people of interest, of which seven will be declared arguidos, and four will be heard as witnesses.
There are two Britons in each of these groups.
The two British witnesses are a couple (a man and a woman), but the two British suspects are said to be not related in any way and are both men.
The seven suspects do not include any of the four arguidos, all of whom are Portuguese nationals, questioned over the summer.
The Brits were all resident in Portugal at the time of Madeleine’s disappearance and have remained here since, sources said.
The theory that Madeleine was abducted by someone passing through, remains a scenario which Portuguese police continue to believe to be among the most probable.
Portuguese police had earlier this summer ruled out Cape Verdean national Euclides Monteiro, who died in 2009, of any involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance.
Police sources confirmed that Monteiro had been the primary reason behind the case’s reopening here in Portugal last October, but subsequent
investigations removed any suspicion over Monteiro.
The news of the exact dates for the questioning of new
suspects comes after the new Public Prosecutor in Portimão, Inês Sequeira, gave the green light to a fifth international Letter of Request received from British authorities
in August.
Police sources here meanwhile said that they had not yet received an official request from Scotland Yard to sit in on interrogations, but said this feature of the investigation was a mere formality.
British girl Madeleine McCann went missing from
an apartment in the Ocean Club resort, Praia da Luz in May 2007, then aged three, sparking an unprecedented
international hunt which has lost little impetus in the more than seven years since her
disappearance

If pre-planned, someone was paid to do this faked abduction?
And I wonder If this British couple are K Harris and M Fazackerley?

Whoever they are, in a couple of weeks time their names and faces will be plastered all over the UK tabloids, ending life as they currently know it for ever.

So at least 11 days of 'finger-pointing, whispering, innuendo' for the 'locals' to endure!

'gossip' in the 'bars' in PDL, tonight:

"Who are the 2 suspects? Who are the 2 'witnesses'? 'are they in this bar, with us, right now'?

'did you lock the patio door, to our apartment, darling'?

'NO! i thought you did'

'Oooppps, should be alright though, very, very, safe village is PDL'

The 2 'witnesses'?

'witnesses' to what, exactly?

What were the Tapas group doing if not 'passing (madeleine) through' the wide open kiddies bedroom window?

What were the Tapas group doing if not 'passing out through' drinking to much booze at tapas restaurant?

What were the Tapas group doing if not 'passing BY' the 'smashed, jemmied, raised, broken shutter, wide open window' at G5A...........7 (SEVEN) times, and thinking 'er, nothing to see there'?

From this morning's article.

The bloke on the extreme right maybe a Portuguese police officer, looks like he's wearing jackboots.

I assume the red-and-white pole is to show where the holes are for their afternoon golf tournament.

Quinta da Luz looks one heck of a nice place to stay for a couple of weeks in the autumn sunshine - anyone know how much it costs to hire it?

Does it have a sauna, jacuzzi and full-size snooker table?

Redwood clutches that bright blue folder as tightly and as often as Dr Kate McCann used to hold Cuddle Cat.

It must be due for a wash soon

All the phrases below come from this article:

Sources close to the investigation involving the search for missing British toddler Madeleine McCann...

Sources said the questioning of suspects...

The Portugal News revealed last week

Sources said there are 11 people of interest, of which seven will be declared arguidos...

The Brits were all resident in Portugal at the time of Madeleine’s disappearance and have remained here since, sources said.

Police sources confirmed that Monteiro...

Police sources here meanwhile said...

Why does infomation about this event - interviewing 11 suspects/witnesses - have to come out in dribs and drabs like this from 'sources'?

In fact, why does any of it have to be published at all? It simply doesn't happen with any other investiagtion on this earth.

Part of it is almost like a guessing game...there are two groups of people...guess who they are... there are two Britons in each group...guess who they are...one of the group of two Britons is a couple...the other group isn't...guess which is which...the other Britons are two men...guess who they are...they are not related to others...they were and are resident in the Algarve...guess where on the Algarve...there's a woman from Eastern Europe we want to talk to...guess which European country she's from...send your entries in before Detective Chief Inspector Redwood is photographed again by ExclusivePics emerging from the Quinta da Luz next week...

It's wholly contrary to the periodic claim of Scotland Yard that they 'won't be offering a running commentary on their investigation'.

Yes they are!

New snippets are IMO deliberately being leaked to British journalists by Scotland Yard to feed the press's appetite for profits news about the Madeleine McCann investigation - building up to more and more pictures and names and other details to feed the press with in the coming fortnight - and nicely choreographed with next week's Channel 5 documentary about the mystery of Madeleine McCann. All planned.

All part of a genuine investigation - or just for show to influence public perception?

The latest CMOMM poll on this subject is running:

Genuine investigation - 5%

Whitewash & cover-up - 95%

It seems to be the new way the police operate Tony. Look at this latest SY operation (operation Midland) breaking today: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-30052726

Very similar language we read (officially) in this case. The way the police interact with the press has changed a lot.

Whether it is for the good (genuine investigation) or bad (whitewash) we'll have to wait and see.

I think ultimately we'll get a bit of both. Some will be thrown under the bus and most/all of the really high ups protected.

In reference to 7 out of 11 are going to be declared arguidos??? That's a lot of arguidos leaving only 4 that are not going to be declared arguidos. Wonder how they arrived at those people being suspects in this case?
So are they saying 7 people probably abducted Madeleine? Sounds like B.S. to me Rolling Eyes

I think if they are going to make 7 people arguidos/suspects i hope they have some damn good reasons for doing that, and i hope if anyone is innocent among that lot of arguidos that they sue the state for whatever they can, for what will probably be libelous accusation of their good name if it is plastered all over the media, and their name is dragged through the mud.
This whole case just seems very evil and implicating innocent people for what was the responsibility of the parents and their negligent actions toward their children that resulted in the disappearance of their eldest child. If those two had of been responsible parents none of this would of happened, and people wouldn't of died because of them, and wrecked other people's lives into the bargain. It's always everyone else's fault but theirs, who the heck do they think they are? What a sham it all is.
I really hope Mr. Amaral sues the pants off them successfully, at least one little victory in all of it would be some little semblance of Justice, because i don't think Madeleine will ever get any justice, unfortunately.

More of the same, from ITV, according to Loughborough Echo:

http://www.loughboroughecho.net/news/local-news/suspects-quizzed-over-madeleine-mccann-8091590

A BRITISH man and woman are among seven due to be questioned over the disappearance of Rothley youngster Madeleine McCann, it was reported.
They will all be interviewed as suspects between November 24 and 28 in Portugal, according to ITV News who claim the development follows extensive reviews of mobile phone footage.
It is claimed that five men, a British female and a woman of eastern or central European origin will be spoken to by detectives about where they were when three-year-old Madeleine vanished in Portugal in 2007.

With so many arguidos and witnesses interviewed or to be interviewed, I like to think that DCI Redwood is eliminating all other possibilities.
Arthur Conan Doyle stated "One should always look for a possible alternative, and provide against it. It is the first rule of criminal investigation"
