He meant the washing machine but called it a fridge.

http://www.mccannpjfiles.co.uk/PJ/DAVID-PAYNE-ROGATORY.htm

You didn't imagine it, Hicks - from his Rog:

1485 "Yeah. Was there anybody around the resort or you know your, the Ocean Club in general that you weren't happy with''

Reply "Err we, you know we did obviously retrospectively question you know who'd been in, in to the resort to actually work there. They, on one of the days they had some err gardening people which we hadn't you know seen before and we you know we just wondered, you know, after Madeleine had gone err you know who they were and what their you know validity was if you like. Err the, I know that again, you know Kate and Gerry had had problems err with I think it was the blinds in their flat and the fridge and they'd had people in err you know into the flat, you know which obviously retrospectively was a concern as well. Err yeah that, you know who were those people, had they been checked out.'

1485 "Mm.'

Reply "Err but apart from that err there was nothing else that really you know springs to mind.'

But surely the fridge in 5A would be a small holiday fridge, not a freezer? I imagine the freezer would have been located elsewhere. Perhaps Payne's allusion is one of those examples where the brain overrides the mouth and makes an involutary hint at  the truth, even if that truth is on a different parallel, in this case a fridge/freezer played an important part, but not the one in the 5A.

I bet that's right, exactly the sort of Freudian slip I was getting at.

I can't see how Mr. would have been able to remove a fridge on his own.  They are pretty heavy aren't they?

Small fridges are fairly easy to move about by one person, two people can easily move a larger fridge/freezer.

At no point in her book does Kate mention problems with a fridge. Problems with blinds and washing machine but not fridge. I imagine that all these items are 'loaded'...the 'jemmied' shutters which weren't jemmied. The washing machine that was used to wash items that might be incriminating (including curtains!?is this correct?) the fridge that Gerry apparently felt the need to dispose of but then removed any referenced to this from his blog. And why would David Payne mention a fridge when Kate does not?

Are this lot ever going to be held account?

Am I not right in thinking that GM's 'fridge to tip' blog was posted - and whooshed - long before GA's suspicion of refrigerated body fluids was widely known to the public? More than mere coincidence?

Please take a look at this Yahoo page from SIX years ago when memories of the fridge blog were much clearer and fresher and not a 'forum myth!'
